At Elland Road, Albion suffered their biggest second tier defeat since they were beaten 6-0 an hour down the road at Bramall Lane in February 2000. It leaves Darren Moore’s total with the Baggies’ lowest points total at this stage since the 2000/2001 season and with a very difficult task to finish in the top two.
It’s not impossible, however. In 2002, the Baggies were seven points behind Wolves at the same stage, and we all know how that ended up. Moreover, Megson’s team lost game 36 of the season, although they only dropped four points in their last ten games.
