After a first half in which they were second best but managed to escape on level terms, the Baggies were much better in the second half but still contrived to keep Norwich in the game right up until the end.
The biggest issue remains the midfield of Brunt and Livermore who were once again overrun and it’s an area that Moore needs to address as soon as possible. Albion’s front four were excellent in the second half having been largely ineffective before the break, but they still looked shaky at the back with Nyom having something of a nightmare. The sooner Dawson is integrated back into the squad, the better.
I feel that there could be a lot more games like the one at Carrow Road this season, with Albion looking capable of both scoring and conceding lots of goals!
Looking back at Albion’s last six second tier seasons, game 3 has always been away from the Hawthorns and game 4 has always been at home – also, the Baggies have always won the fourth game of the season including one against QPR back in 2000, their next opponents in the league.
