Albion’s Premier League Season Comparison – 37 games

With one game to go, this season is currently the 4th best of Albion’s 11 Premier League seasons and only victory at the Liberty Stadium on Sunday can change that.

The Baggies have never won their last away game of the season in the Premier League, although when the final game of the season has been away from the Hawthorns, they have lost only once – at the Emirates two years ago. On the other three occasions, the games have finished in draws, at Everton, Blackburn and, most memorably, at Newcastle in 2011 when a second half hat trick from Somen Tchoyi saw Albion come from 3-0 down to draw 3-3.

The last time that the Baggies did win away from home on the last day was in 2008 when Chris Brunt’s free kick secured the points in a 2-0 win at Loftus Road to win the Championship title. That season, Albion won their last four games away from home.
