Albion’s Premier League Season Comparison – 27 games

Albion’s five match unbeaten run came to an end with a thoroughly disappointing performance against Palace at the Hawthorns, and fears from Baggies fans that the 40-point malaise may have set in once again.

The Baggies failed to win another game after hitting the 40-point mark last season but, with 11 games to go, the club-record Premier League season’s points total is still well within reach. 2012/13 is now back to being the best season at this stage, although only on goals scored – hopefully Albion will be able to better the run in that year that saw them pick up just nine points from the last eleven.

Next weekend’s trip to Goodison could well determine whether the dream of European football next season will stay alive. Albion’s record in game 28 does not hold too many good omens, however, with just one win and two draws in the ten seasons so far.
