Albion’s Premier League Season Comparison – 16 games

So much for Alan Pardew’s brand of exciting attacking football – two games, no goals, one point against two sides in the bottom three. Not only have Albion played the bottom side for two successive games, on both occasions they have moved off the bottom as a result of the match.

With Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal in three of the next four games, the chances of a happy Christmas for Baggies fans seem slim. I guess you can’t drum the Pulis effect out of a side straight away, and it certainly seems that Pardew has his work cut out.

Game 17 has only ever produced one victory, a 3-2 win at Newcastle in 2011. Albion will travel to Anfield with trepidation.
