Salomón Rondón became only the second player in Premier League history to score a hat-trick of headed goals against Swansea, securing the three points that lifted Albion into 7th place in the table, four points and one place behind Saturday’s opponents, Manchester United.
Albion have three more points than they did at this stage last season, but are six places better off. Also, when you look at the comparison against the equivalent fixtures from last season, the Baggies are seven points better off, although they will need to match last season’s victory over Manchester United if they are to maintain that gap!
Game 17 has not been productive for Albion over the years with just one victory, at St James’s Park in 2011, and just two draws.
