A second goal in an Albion shirt for Cédric Kipré and a first for Jeremy Sarmiento bookended a second victory of the season for the Baggies lifting them into seventh place in the Championship table.
It maintains Albion’s 100% home record this season and makes it 13 wins in 18 home league games under Carlos Corberán – no Championship team has earned more points at home since the Spaniard took over at the Hawthorns.
The Baggies will be hopeful of another victory as they return to the Hawthorns for the fifth game of the campaign next weekend. As well as their current run of form at the Shrine, Albion haven’t failed to win game five of a second tier campaign when it has been at home since 1999. The last three of those game five home wins have been 5-2 over Hull City last season, 4-0 over Ipswich Town in 2007 and 4-0 over Manchester City in 2001.
