The three points lifted Corberán’s team into eighth place three points outside the top six. Sixth spot is currently occupied by Millwall who are the next visitors to the Hawthorns on 1st April.
John Swift converted the first penalty that Albion have been awarded in 2023 – the previous spot kick was awarded in the 3-0 victory against Rotherham United in December – Brandon Thomas-Asante took the kick but it was saved, although he managed to fire home the rebound.
