Albion’s wait for a win at Derby goes on as Kenneth Zohore’s penalty earned them a second 1-1 draw in four days and maintained their unbeaten league record this season.
The Baggies win at Pride Park in 2003 remains their only victory on Derby soil since that 4-0 win in 1919 that I described in my match preview; that’s a run of one win in thirty visits to the Baseball Ground and Pride Park.
Nonetheless, it is only the second time this century that Albion have remained unbeaten for the first five games of a season and, in the second tier, only Megson’s 2003 team and Di Matteo’s team had more that nine points at this stage.
Albion have never lost the sixth game in a second tier season this century winning five of the seven such fixtures.
