Albion’s Promotion Challenge Season Comparison – 46 games

Albion finished the regular season with a defeat which leaves them with 80 points.  It is the eighth time that the Baggies have achieved 80 points, or the equivalent thereof, in a promotion campaign, and they have been promoted on each occasion.

It may not be the confidence-boosting result that Albion fans were looking ahead of the play-offs, but back in 2007, they produced just that with a 7-0 win over Barnsley but ultimately lost out to Derby County in the play-off final.
