The Baggies used up one of their lives at Ewood Park as they dropped points meaning that Brentford, who won yet again, are three points behind. Albion can now only afford to draw one of their remaining three games assuming the Bees continue their winning run.
Slaven Bilić’s team are level with Leeds at the top of the table, although Bielsa’s side have a game in hand away to Swansea City on Sunday.
Albion get the chance to strike the first blow in the next round of fixtures for a change as they play on Tuesday with Brentford not playing until Wednesday. The Baggies face fourth-placed, Fulham, however in the toughest of their remaining games.
