Albion took another small step towards a return to the Premier League as they took all three points in an exciting encounter with Hull City at the Hawthorns to record their first league double over the Tigers since 2006/07.
The 4-2 win took the Baggies’ goal tally for the season to 71 and moved them back to one point behind Leeds and five clear of Brentford with now just five games remaining. Eleven points from those five games will guarantee promotion, even if the Bees win every game.
Charlie Austin’s birthday goal means that he is now Albion’s top scorer this campaign with eleven in all competitions while Kamil Grosicki scored his first goal for the Baggies on his first start and against his old club.
