Albion’s Promotion Challenge Season Comparison – 27 games

Jordan Rhodes’ late equaliser means that the Baggies stay fourth in the table and are now seven points off leaders, Leeds United, and three behind second-placed Sheffield United.

In three of Albion’s four promotions to the Premier League, they had reached the half century of points by this stage, three more than Darren Moore’s team have, although in Gary Megson’s first successful promotion season, the Baggies had just 44 points from 27 games.

That side earned a remarkable 45 points from the remaining 19 games, while Tony Mowbray’s title winning team only got 31.
