The Baggies ended their goal drought scoring twice at the CBS Arena and went on to claim all three points despite conceding their first ever goal at Coventry City’s new stadium.
A fourth away victory of the season moves the Baggies back into third place, at least until QPR’s match on Sunday, but their points tally from 21 games is lower than all but two of their 21st century second tier campaigns. However, it does mean that Albion maintain their record of never having lost game 21 of a second tier season since 1999 (when they lost 2-0 away to Crewe Alexandra).
Matchday 22 has been kind to the Baggies in recent seasons with Albion having won game 22 in five of their last six promotion campaigns including a crucial comeback win at St Andrews two years ago when Charlie Austin scored a fantastic brace.
