For the third successive season, Albion have five points from the first five games. If you’re in to omens, in the last two seasons, our sixth game has prodcued a victory, 4-0 against Burnley last year and 2-1 at Old Trafford the season before, which bodes well with a trip to Villa Park up next.

The last time Albion won two consecutive league games against the Potters was 27 years ago in 1988, the second of which was a somewhat more impressive 6-0, although wins in the FA Cup in 1998 and the league in 2003 were in consective fixtures against the Potters albeit five years apart.

Albion have only once won their third game of a Premier League season, back in 2012 when they already had four points on the board from two matches, and notched up a 2-0 win over Everton. Having not scored a goal yet this season, and with the Champions the next opponents, a win seems less likely.
