At the start of the season, few would’ve expected Albion to go into this fixture on better form than Manchester City, but based on the last six results, that is indeed the case.
Tony Pulis’s men have registered one win and three draws from their last half dozen games, whereas Pep Guardiola’s side have just three draws, the longest winless run of the Spaniard’s managerial career.
Runs, however, always come to end at some point. Tony Pulis had not lost in eight matches as a manager against Liverpool before last Saturday’s defeat, but then the Baggies have lost their last nine matches against Manchester City, and their last victory over City in the Premier League was back in December 2008 when a late winner from Roman Bednar gave Albion the points.
Prediction
I don’t think this will be an easy game for City, and Pulis may have the tactical nous to extend Pep’s winless run, but I still fancy the visitors to make it ten wins on the bounce against the Baggies.
